Look at this picture… Aren’t you craving for an handful of delicious olives?Olives are one of the world’s most widely enjoyed foods.

They are considered a fruit and are very versatile. You can use them as dressing, you can put it in addition to salads, and other dishes. Olives can be preserved in oil or in salt solution. They can be considered a great food delight!

What’s new and beneficial about olives

Olives have dozen of beneficial and healthy properties, such as Vitamin A, but calcium, as well. All these beneficial properties of olives can be found in their extra virgin oil, that it is better to consume raw.

Olives and their oil are good antioxidants and help us to avoid health problems, thanks to phytosterols, fat-soluble vitamins, chlorophyll and polyphenols, a natural chemical that reduce oxidative stress in the brain.  Moreover, olives have also anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer benefits, and prevent ageing. Olive act as an antioxidant and eliminate excess cholesterol in the blood.

Eating genuine food

Olives also have  great nutritional properties, because they are rich in minerals, such as potassium, sodium iron and iodine. Olives can reduce your appetite by up to 20%.

However, it is better not exceeding with olives, because if consumed in excess, they are not low calories. I recommend not to exceed with olives and their oil consumption, even if they are tasty and irresistible!
